(LWI) wishes to open doors on subjects like philosophy, biblical, legal, and daily topics we can debate, discuss, or argue our viewpoints while seeking a clear picture of understanding. We’ll share with one another shining a light of understanding—is the purpose of this site.
I’m a child of God. All that I’m able to create and share through this site I give thanks to. I’m blessed to be able to work with Pastor Richardson and Brother Boone of The Full Gospel Church of Love in Christ.
For those of you who find yourself reading the content of this site, from time to time I’ll share God’s wisdom as a thought, asking you, “Does this make sense(?)”
The Light Within (A Caged Soul) was designed to share understanding with the outside world. It was created by Daryl Wheatfall. I lost my mother, someone that was my life support system. I suffered greatly over the loss of my mother; she controlled everything in this battle to save my life. Her loss is a deep hole in my life, totally ripping my heart out—explains why I suffer greatly over her passing away.
The one person who was always there for me, listening to my problems, pushing me whenever I needed to be pushed or sharing her opinion whenever she thought it was necessary. Love is hard to receive behind these walls.
The outside world have to focus on its own problems, trying to pay their bills, maintain order over their lives—loving some inmate sitting on Death Row for murdering, killing a family, a child, raping a woman. Love for horrible creatures sitting on Death Row.
These are the views, the outlook and feelings toward those sitting behind prison walls by the eyes of society. I’m not saying all beyond these walls share these views. Prisoners suffering inside this atmosphere, many have been made to endure negative perspective the Frankenstein outlook society created due to fear.
No, I’m not suggesting that anyone should forget why prisoners are sitting on Death Row or the many deaths they committed. It’s their reason why we’re here. Yet here we meet the word Justice which means “A concept of fairness or moral rightness,” as defined by Black Law Dictionary.
I’m sitting on Death Row for a crime I did not commit. Where’s the justice(?) Some are executed 10 years later. I’ve been here 30 years. Is this justice or an injustice(?) Am I to suffer decades then be executed(?) How is this fairness or moral rightness(?)
After decades sitting on Death Row I only see double jeopardy. By the Fifth Amendment, the U.S. Constitution prohibits a criminal defendant from being twice made to stand trial for the same offense.
Sentencing, the word means punishment, retributive suffering, pain, loss and penalty, torture, anguish of body and mind—the infliction of severe pain. This describes justice: the mind and body experiencing sentencing and punishment.
I wish to focus on the word Prophet(s) which means “an interpreter of time and of people’s hearts.” One who issues a prophecy. We’ll now focus on Joseph, someone whose brothers sold him into slavery—he being punished when no crime had been committed, thus he was thrown into prison over a lie.
A position that created anguish, pain, and suffering. Joseph would be liberated. God says to you now, “Conscience, say not thou one but of the other, for why is liberty judged of another man’s conscience(?) For if by grace be a partaker, why am I evil spoken of for that which I give thanks, whether therefore ye eat or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”
It’s to this point, everything I have experienced was done—the suffering, the pain, the years behind these walls growing into the man I am today—all was done by the glory of God.
I wouldn’t be the writer without it; the messenger God has turned me into—just as Joseph was made to suffer so he could preserve life. Should you find yourself taking in these thoughts, and it’s pushing you in a direction that helps you find you—it’s this understanding The Light Within wishes to share.
This blog seeks to provide sight sharing that all is part of God’s plan. Many times, I have faced death while a free man, but it wasn’t my time to meet death while walking in the dark unable to see the hand of God upon me.
The pain and suffering I have been made to endure keeps me distracted; this is what so many seek to escape—sitting inside these cages called justice. For me, a cage of injustice.
This causes many to turn toward their spiritual essence—to remove their pain and suffering that so many wake up to. Just like Joseph had to being rejected, kidnapped, enslaved and imprisoned—it is a light we can’t ignore.
A View of the Inside: Wandering Thoughts
Since returning to Death Row, November 20th, 2023...
Everything has changed. It’s Sunday night (11:29 PM). I’m listening to a stupid movie Terrifier 2 is the name. It’s just senseless killing—this is called entertainment(?).
On one hand, indirectly it’s suggesting an idea to commit a senseless murder, pointing out on the herd—society is willing to pay to see senseless murdering and killing while making the men and women sitting on Death Row monsters who deserve what they get.
A thought many in society wish to ignore.
Sitting here on Death Row surrounded by those trying to explain everything, trying to explain all that’s running through their minds—realizing it’s about the truth. So many ignore it under these conditions.
I’m asked to focus on so much, to understand what’s going on around me all throughout the day, as men enter into the night. All becomes a distraction.
Try focusing on the matters I’ve laid out to address as my thoughts are assaulted by reality, preventing me from concentrating as I focus on my thoughts—it’s what I struggle with.
A radio is playing; it’s not going to prevent me from concentrating as I focus on my thoughts.
At this point, I’m not sure what I want to focus on as sounds continue to enter my thoughts as they are played.
The book that tells the story of my injustice I’m working on—realizing this story is mixed with legal demands, this challenge is my inspiration that’s pushing me as I sit inside this cage here on Death Row.
I wish for the readers to view, feel what I’m seeing and experiencing as if you’re witnessing it through my eyes—you’re consuming the essence of what I’m made to endure. This is the challenge.

Since I’ve returned to the Row, so much has changed. Unit officials have given prisoners tools to escape our reality, using tablets and TVs. Back in the day, these tools didn’t exist—prisoners were just thrown in cages with 4 walls and the problems that come with being locked up inside a cage on death row.
These conditions cause some to ignore mental anguish, anxiety and depression—mental trauma due to prison walls that prevent the mind from escaping psychologically.
A big problem in this atmosphere: negative energy, prison authority for prison officials knowing all prisoners are made to deal with confinement inside these cages controlled by this system—who seek to keep the mind locked in oppression.
